Don’t Forget the Lyrics Sunday Part III

Welcome to SRH and Don’t Forget the Lyrics Sunday. By now you have all figured out what a complete romantic I am. Music somehow taps into the mushy warm and fuzzy of my brain spits out the stories I write. However, if you have read my books you will know I am not necessarily a gushy author. In fact, I love to torture my characters and make them work for their happiness.  That is why they call it Romantic Suspense, right? Okay now on to this week’s list of lyrics…enjoy!

These wounds won’t seem to heal

This pain is just too real

There’s just too much that time cannot erase

  •  My Immortal – Evanescence

She said “If we’re gonna make this work

You gotta let me inside even though it hurts

Don’t hide the broken parts that I need to see”

She said “Like it or not it’s the way it’s gotta be

You gotta love yourself if you can ever love me”

  • Whatever it Takes – Lifehouse

I want to come over

To hell with the consequence

You told me you loved me

That’s all I believe

  •  I Want to Come Over – Melissa Etheridge

I’m gonna be here for you from now on

This you know somehow

You’ve been stretched to the limits but it’s alright now

And I’m gonna make you a promise

If there’s life after this

I’m gonna be there to meet you with a warm, wet kiss

  •  Making Memories Of Us – Keith Urban

What a wicked game to play, to make me feel this way.

What a wicked thing to do, to let me dream of you.

What a wicked thing to say, you never felt this way.

What a wicked thing to do, to make me dream of you…

  •  Wicked Game – Chris Isaak

Now as I look into your eyes

Well I wonder if it’s wise

To hold you like I’ve wanted to before

Tonight I was thinking that you might

Be the one who breathes life in this heart of mine

  •  Next Time I Fall in Love – Peter Cetera & Amy Grant

I remember ‘Next Time…’ from my younger years, I never understood the intent it until I was older. I mean you only fall in love once, why would you singing about the next time? Ah the simple innocent thoughts of a twelve year old girl. I never forgot the harmony of the two beautiful voices. Oh my goodness the video is definitely all 80’s but I think that is part of the charm.

Love, Learn, Laugh…Everyday.
